Would like to know the value of my trading cards?

baseball and football most expensive and rare, also I would like to know which of the cards is most wanted

Would like to know the value of my trading cards?
The best sources are those who have nothing to gain from you.

I'd begin with the Beckett Price Guides -- they come out every month as well as a Beckett Baseball Plus and Beckett Football Plus, which is larger, (has more cards). The Plus comes out every two months.

Beckett also has an online service. There's a fee, but you can do an inventory on your cards. That's something to consider if you have a LOT.

Which of the cards is most wanted depends on how hot the player is today. Mark McGwire today, is not as "wanted" as the year he broke Roger Maris' record.

Ryan Leaf was most wanted when he was drafted, and well, you know what he's worth today!

One final thing -- don't be so quick to sell your cards. If you're new at this, you might get taken advantage of by an opportunistic dealer. Or, you might price the card too low, or sell it before the athlete peaks.

And, if you're like most collectors, you didn't start buying cards for the money. They have sentimental value, and believe me, as the years go by, those rare cards will increase in value.
Reply:Go to a card shop or show, they can give you e better figure for your investments.
