What Trading Card Game offers the most money?

I am a playing card fanatic, but when I discovered that people can make money playing trading card games in local tournaments, I was speechless. Does this mean that playing Pokemon or Yu-Gi-Oh, that at face-value are mere child games, can actually make money. I am not an expert on these issues, and need some advice. If any one can tell what trading card games can earn a person the most money with out having to buy hundreds and hundreds of cards, and rely more on strategy than on the cards in your deck, then I would be most grateful.

What Trading Card Game offers the most money?
Honestly I would say Magic The Gathering, if you can learn how to draft you can make quite a bit winning tournaments. Though learning how to play draft isn't easy, hell none of the games really learning to participate in high level is easy, you'd just have to get to know the cards and how to manipulate them. I say drafts though because generally the only entrance fee is for the booster packs themselves, and maybe a little more the the tournament. MTG also has sealed deck tourneys, which are around the same line as drafts, but your at the mercy of possibly getting some real crappy cards in you sealed deck.
Reply:Any card game is going to require a pretty hefty investment to have a competitive deck. Magic the Gathering is going to have the most tournaments. It is more balanced and you will probably be playing against at least high school aged teens (no feeling bad because you made an 8 year old cry when you beat him). The real money of any trading cards game is gonna come through being a trade shark though. Build a binder. know your prices and trade for a profit. I had a friend pay his rent for 2 months through trading a few cards each month into a lot of cards and selling off his collection. So if you go pro with magic you can make a living at it. If you become good at trading you can make money today.
Reply:Magic the Gathering for sure. There a people in the pro circuit who could make a living on only playing magic. The downside to this, however, is getting to that level. It is not easy, and takes years to understand the skills and develop the habits needed. If you are just planing on buying/selling cards for money, then drafts and sealed deck tournys are for you. However, if you want to enter the professional arena, then you need to start looking at starting in whats called Friday Night Magic. More info on that can be found at magicthegathering.com
Reply:MTG gives out the most money at tournaments and qualifies. The guy in first in the nation has made 6 figure digits just on winnings.
