My name is Joe and I am 12 years old. I want to learn what is the proper way to buy and sell trading cards. I.E. basebal, football ect. Is there a site for beginners? Do I buy them at garage sales, stores, trade shows ect...? Thank you for your help in advance.

I would say buy them where you can fnd them. You might also check ebay. They also have some great hobby stores for those. Just look for good deals. I am sure amazon has some great books on the subject too.
