What gives me a better chance of getting a Webkinz virtual pet trading cards?
When you buy Webkinz trading cards, you don't get to pick the cards you get. Of course that's the case when anyone buys trading cards. Anyway, I personally bought trading cards and I was kinda dissapointed. That was the first time I bought the trading cards. The second time I got them I got to unlock 5 different codes. Hope I Helped!
What gives me a better chance of getting a Webkinz virtual pet trading cards?
ull hav a chance of getting a code for a pet, u just wont be able to chose which one u want lol....
Reply:You can't ever get a better chance, you just have to buy a bunch of cards. When luck is your way an webkinz card will show up and give you a code for free. No one can guarantee you that you'll find a pet card. There's not a way you can choose which trading cards you want, you just get what you get! Happy collecting!
Reply:Well its 1 out of 36 so buy 36
Reply:u have to buy the pack of trading cards..i have like 5 packs but i used them already sorry

How could I make my own trading cards?
like I can make the photos and images but I would need to know how I could print them onto real card paper. I want to know what kind of paper is used. How I could get ahold of that paper and print them and package them...
How could I make my own trading cards?
Depends on how good of a quality you want. HP has plenty of good quality printers and get the paper stock from Staples. Also depends on package quality you need. Can go to uline.com

Reply:They are all coming back into stock soon. Just go on the Webkinz site and look for a nearby retailer and then phone them up.

Reply:Well, i got packs from my local retailer in Closter NJ, Morning Glory but i had to wait at the door for them to open. I was there 30 minutes before openin and I was 6th in line. The first person in line had been waiting there for two hours. they put a ten pack limit on it and each pack was 7.99. i lucked out and got myself a free black bear and a couple cool rare items from the cards but i cant receve them yet because the code shop is not open yet.

What is the best website to buy trading cards?
I think eBay is the best but you have to be familiar about what you're purchasing. Maybe you should try joining some Yahoo groups first. Some of them will sell stuff but most will let you trade for cards you or they might need. Check out the groups first.

Where to check trading cards market value?
I am selling my trading cards like pokemon, harry potter, WWE wrestling and Magic the Gathering.. I wana know where I can check the market value of these card so that I wun sell them too cheaply away.. any guys out there know??
Where to check trading cards market value?
yeah it seems that these trading cards actually decline in price once they've been out for a while, unless they are one that everyone takes advantage of because they're insanely powerful in the game. check ebay, check wizardscupboard.com or another site for MTG prices (you will probably have to sell for slightly less than those prices). But it all boils down to, if you can't find anyone who's interested, they're not worth anything.
Reply:Check prices on ebay and google for other sellers. Don't expect too much cash for game playing cards, they are only popular for a short period of time.
Reply:Stop into alocal hobby shop, you can buy price guides for Pokemon, MTG, etc.

The sports cards: Go to a hobby shop and buy Beckett magazines for the specific sport. They also have a site online, but I haven't found it to be as helpful as their store-bought pricing guide magazines.
Other collectibles: Best I can tell you is to do a search on eBay and see if anyone else is selling them and what they're going for.

How do I make money with football trading cards?
Several ways. You should check them out with a guidebook to see if they are of value, or show them to a dealer you can trust. If you have some especially valuable you need to get them professionally certified. Then, obviously, you sell them. Best way is on eBay.

How much would theold xmen trading cards from the early 90's go for?
Best to hold onto them... you might get lucky and get a few buyers but those type of collectibles are meant to be held onto for a loooooong time, and it's only been roughly 15 years. Lock them up in a box in the attic until you are old and gray... at the very least you'll have something to share with your grandkids before supplementing your retirement income with them! :)

What do I need to mail one of those little packages of [5] trading cards?
Do I need to go to the post office and ship it there, or can I just put it in an envelope with some stamps and drop it in a mailbox?
What do I need to mail one of those little packages of [5] trading cards?
You can mail it yourself, but the thickness or weight will probably require the extra postage. I think the extra ounce is like 29 cents.
I'd take the 1st one to the PO and check for sure.
Reply:If I were mailing it then I would put it in a manilla envelope and then take it to the post office to mail it. Then just send it regular mail, unless you want to put insurance on it , it really doesn't need it.

Yu-Gi-Oh or Pokemon
Reply:You are unlikely to make a profit, but Yu-Gi-Oh! is the best for that sort of thing. Some of the secret rares, like Dark Armed Dragon and Necroface, can fetch hundreds of dollars. But the chance of pulling one in a booster pack is like 1-in-300.
Reply:yu-gi-oh by far ive got a card that my aunt bought me in a tin thats worth £60 now !
Reply:Yu-gi-oh, but it is hard to turn a profit without really knowing what your are doing. Or being very lucky.
I am looking to buy a bunch of booster packs in hopes of selling the rares to shops and friends. I would just like to know which type I should invest in.

Does anyone know what a box of "Magic the Gathering" trading cards would be worth?
I have an unopened box of "Wizards of the Coast". I am thinking about selling them on ebay, but I don't know anything about this game, or these cards. Can anyone out there tell me what I should start the opening bid at?
Does anyone know what a box of "Magic the Gathering" trading cards would be worth?
depens on the box the older sets would go for about $680 unopened if it's older. newer goes for $105 per box

Is there a place that he can trade or donate his extras?
My son has over a thousand football trading cards. How can he trade or donate some of them?
you could go to ebay or try to go to a card shop and trade them or give it to them if you want
Reply:Well if he wants to be a good guy, he can take some of them and give them to the children's wing of a local hospital. I did that will a lot of baseball card. Usually a smiling child is worth more than a buck.
Reply:If there are card shows in your area, that would be a good place. Check your newspaper to see if there are any close bey.
Reply:Why don't he sell it on amazon or ebay.
Or why just he throw it away as its pretty much the same as giving it away. Beyotch!
Reply:try ebay or a pawn shop. look online. some of his friends might want to trade. maybe donate them to a charity that is having an auction or some place that is trying to raise money. some of those cards might be worth some money.
Reply:Look in your local phonebook. You should be able to find a shop that sells cards, comic books, etc. Contact them.
Reply:Your need to talk to a "card trader" if you wanna sell cards. personally I have several thousand hockey cards and I REFUSE TO SELL ANY, even duplicates because like realistate they can only appreciate in value.
Reply:ur best bet would to be to sell them! go to ebay andsell em...you wont go wrong i guarentee it!
Reply:you can do one of the two things.go to your public library and take out a book on trading cards and check the value of his cards.if there is a trading card store take the collection in and get the store owners opp ion of the condition and the value.i live in new york city there are about ten places where one can go.best of luck.

You could try looking at a local comic book store they have cards, decks, and tins. depending on your location some of them have tournaments for kids to play each other. if you cant find one you could look in the phonebook.
Reply:You may have a local card or comic shop that should be able to provide you with what you are looking for. Otherwise, the best place would be on eBay or an online card shop.

Are there any places where you can sell trading cards?
I have some super rare Naruto cards I want to sell to get some money and I was wanting to know if there was a place I could sell them. I live around Fort Worth, TX, but I don't mind having to go out of state a little bit. I want to try staying in the Dallas/Fort Worth area if possible. The main thing I want is to get top dollar for my cards. If you have any suggestions, that would be great and I would ♥ to hear about them.
Thanks Bunches!!!

Ideas needed for World War Two baseball/trading cards?
I need ideas for making 5 baseball/trading cards based on World War Two.
Ideas needed for World War Two baseball/trading cards?
I would say that each card would have a battle. The Battle of Stalingrad, because it stopped the German's advance, and very well could have made them lost the war. The battle of Mid-Way, because it permanently crippled the Japan Imperial Fleet. D-Day(Operation Overlord) because it took pressure off the Eastern Front. The Battle of Britain, because it stopped the Germans from taking the last allied territory in Europe. The last one would be the Lend-Lease Program, because if it wasn't for USA aid, England very well could not have defended themselves from the constant German Aerial bombing in Central and Southern Britain.
Reply:5 Cards? use the 5 biggest players...
Hitler, Mussolini, FDR, Churchill, and Stalin
Reply:Have a picture of a soldier holding his rifle like a baseball bat, either over his shoulder or resting it next to him.

Where can I sell collectible comic books and very rare pokemon and yugi-oh trading cards for cash?
well you see lots of people go and sell stuff on ebay.com
Reply:You will get only a fraction of your collectables value if you sell now. There is very little demand, many comic stores are closing doors around the world.
If you really need to sell them, do go to ebay, otherwise I suggest you wait a few years.

How can I find someone who will give me a fair appraisal on some baseball trading cards?
I have some trading cards that I would like to get of but I have no idea of there value, so it's very hard to put a selling price on them
How can I find someone who will give me a fair appraisal on some baseball trading cards?
The best appraisal you will ever find on a particular baseball card is by finding the item, or a similar item, on Ebay and seeing how much it sells for. That is an item's true market value.
Reply:you can go on ebay to see similar or the same items or www.beckett.com and go to collecting tools then my collections and sign up for free and add your cards and it will give you the total book value for free.
Reply:Ebay will show you what people have actually paid for the card. Go to the advanced search and check the closed auctions.
Good Luck

How would Christian kids respond to Christian-themed trading cards?
Do you think there would be a difference for them between a Trading Card Game and just regular trading cards?
How would Christian kids respond to Christian-themed trading cards?
Honestly, I think it's a horrific idea. Trading Cards are horribly hard to sell, and one would need to promote it hard core in order to sell them. I have to admit though, it's a brilliant idea that might spread the word around about Him.
Reply:I think if a game could some how be tied into Christian-themed trading cards that would be great. Especially if it could teach kids more about God and things of that nature =]
Reply:you mean you want to make a gambling game for Christian children ?
Reply:Brent, it's funny you ask this question because my seven year old son has been asking for "Jesus trading cards". It was while I was searching for such cards that I came across your question.
As to Tricia R's response, why do you assume the purpose of such trading cards is "to make a gambling game for Christian children"? After all, the purpose of baseball cards (for example) is not to make a gambling game for children, Christian or otherwise. A rather odd response, Miss Tricia.
As to Temavict's response, why (or how) does this seem racist? An utterly ridiculous response, Mr. T.
Further as to Temavict's response, why do you assume "the aim of the game is beating an opponent", i.e., violence? After all, the "aim" of baseball cards (for example) is not "beating an opponent". Another utterly ridiculous response, Mr. T.

How do you open a successful business of trading cards? Any advice?
I want to open a business that sells different kinds of trading cards (baseball, football, etc......) are there any specific ways to opening one, and where do I get my inventory?? I'm only in high school at the time but I feel that this is what I would like to do in my life......And also what should my major be in college if I want to open my own business?? Thanks!
How do you open a successful business of trading cards? Any advice?
Nice question, and if you wanna startup your own business regardless of doing trading cards, you should definintely go into Business Management or Entreprenuerialship (Which is normally a part of Business Management). About the trading cards, Im in college and really cards have been suffering. However, I worked in the rare coin industry and that worked (I know boring!). I also found out theres a grading company for trading cards, so if your cards are in excellent condition and you have some rare ones you should send those into a grading service so the former price will almost certainly rise. If you can find a way to market cards like they were 10 years ago where everone got them and wanted more you should come up with a really unique way to get them back into becoming interested. Hope this helps
Reply:thanks, and good luck with it. Report Abuse
Reply:Try obtaining your cards on Ebay, I bought some once for like 10 cents per hundred... not too bad huh? It depends on how bad someone wants to get rid of them. I would also suggest that you major in Business Management.

don,t do the retail thing you will loose but if you must it will always be location location
Reply:The trading card industry has taken a huge hit over the past decade due mostly to eBay. I suggest, if you are sure that a sports trading card business is what you want to do, work with eBay and open an online business.

What are Battlestar Galactica trading cards worth?
I recently came across a box full of Battlestar Galactica trading cards and I would like to know how I can price the worth of these cards. Does anyone have any knowledge about these?
What are Battlestar Galactica trading cards worth?
Like any trading card popularity and condition will help determine the value of the item. If you have rare mint cards they can be worth a fair amount (though that is a relative term, fair.) It also depends upon the age. The newer cards are hotter, from my research, than the older ones.
For example, on ebay an old set of Topps original series Battlestar Galactica would sell for .49 cents and $1.50 shipping. Some of the newer series cards sell for close to $6.50 for one card.
Search ebay completed items for real sales. Also ask game and comic stores in your area.

How would Christian kids respond to Christian-themed trading cards?
Do you think there would be a difference for them between a Trading Card Game and just regular trading cards?
How would Christian kids respond to Christian-themed trading cards?
Honestly, it would be way to cheesy. Not only that, it would also put bad associations inside the children's heads. For example, if the stats of one Biblical figure surpasses that of another, the child will think of that figure in History to be greater also. God's people shouldn't be ranked like that. Afterall, God is to judge. Another bad effect would be when the child can't seem to concentrate on sermons because everytime a name pops up he/she is reminded of a time when he/she used/traded that card or whatever (-- all under the assumption that it even "hooks" kids onto it). I think it's a terrible idea.
Reply:probably not

Reply:Depends on the kind of market like average ho-hum Christians who only go because it's compulsory, or the amazingly zealous ones. If they're zealous they sell themselves, if not oh my my my, consult a Japanese anime artist.

How would i send trading cards that i sold off ebay?
I'm selling trading cards of ebay and i was wonder if i should just send them in a regular envelope with a first class stamp or do something else?
How would i send trading cards that i sold off ebay?
You need to protect them from damage, and a regular envelope won't get the job done. Read many past card auctions to see what type of packaging sellers use before you get started, or your time on ebay will be short and your reputation poor.

Does anyone know of a good way to sell sports trading cards in Europe, particularly in Germany?
I have a lot of baseball, football, basketball, hockey, and various other trading cards. I have thought about selling on ebay but I don't think that there would be too much interest in them when people consider the shipping charges, also it seems that when I looked in the past that people really weren't bidding too much.
Does anyone know of a good way to sell sports trading cards in Europe, particularly in Germany?
really the only way would be to got he internet ruote with a eaby beckett or amazon becuase i would have to think that the germens wouldnt have that much interest in the card get what i am saying
you could try and do some reaseach about card shops which i think there are few of or post an ad in the newspaper
shop them back to the states to a family member and have them sell them
Reply:Alot of the card companies have their own websites. You can go there and post in their message boards and see if anyone is interested. But yea, shipping might pose a problem if the buyer is in America. The only other option is ebay and it seems you have already tried that. Good luck.

What was the name of the trading cards that were popular before Garbage Pail Kids?
In the early 80's when I was a kid there were trading cards that were very popular just before the Garbage Pail Kids explosion. They were cartoonish with kinda gross themes. Does anyone remember?

How could I obtain a license to sell my own Trading cards?
Wizards of the coast has patented the idea of trading cards and I don't want to end up in a legal battle with them in the future if I can end up selling my own trading cards. How could I end up getting a liscense from them, if it is possible, to sell trading cards.
How could I obtain a license to sell my own Trading cards?
WOC didn't patent the idea of trading cards - they;ve been around for 100+ yrs - if you came up with an original game idea that wasn't too close to anything else they already publish, they or some other game company MIGHT publish it - 1 in a 67,007 chance

How do I find the value of my trading cards on the web?
I have a small box of football trading cards. I want to find out how much each one is worth. Is there a good website I can go to? I just need the value, I don't want to but any.
How do I find the value of my trading cards on the web?
not really the websites make you sign up and pay but I could value them.
Reply:beckett.com
Reply:Online sites charge for quoting card value. Go to your local book store and pick up the latest copy of Beckett's Football Monthly. It will provide you with a high and low value range for your cards, IF they're in mint/near mint condition.
Odds are, from being kept in a box, your cards are probably anywhere from very good to not so good. If this is the case, figure your cards are valued no higher than the low value listed in Beckett's. When I sold cards, at shows, I quoted a price about half way between the Beckett's high and low values.
Bottom line... if you're wanting to value them for selling... they're only worth what someone is willing to pay for them.
Good luck!
Reply:Check and see if any that you have are similar to what someone might be selling on ebay to give you an idea of what the street value is, because sometimes book values are a little inflated.

What sport were the first 'trading cards' based on when they came along in the 1800s?
I have heard that the first sports trading cards were baseball cards.
But I have also heard that the first trading cards were boxing cards that came in packs of cigarettes.
Anyone know the answer to this?

How much would my trading cards be worth?
I have heaps of trading cards that use to belong to my pop. They are from around 1920 and 1930 i think. lots of different footy clubs like, sydney, essendon, collingwood. As well as cricket cards and others. But i have no idea where to start finding out what they are worth.

How do I sell baseball trading cards on ebay?
I have a box of 20 year old baseball trading cards that I want to sell. I'm not sure about their value but I have cards like Barry Bonds and Mark Mcgwire.(from the late 1980's) what could they be worth and how do I sell them on ebay? Is there a better place to sell them than Ebay?
How do I sell baseball trading cards on ebay?
You may be sad when you see the actual value of the cards. I can't give away cards from the 1980-2000. I set up an ebay store that lowered the cost of listing the cards... even at that you pay about $15.00 per month + .06 each to list the cards + 10% when they sell + paypal fees... Hard to make any money on $5.00 cards.
Reply:There are many sports groups out there just join one and tell people what you have someone will make you an offer. Check either a Beckett or a Tuff Stuff Magazine to find there worth
Reply:Ebay fees are getting higher all the time, so make sure that they're worthwhile before going there. Check completed auctions (use advanced search on the main page) to see what your type of cards sell for.
Ask specific questions on the Sports board on ebay:

Reply:Agree to check Beckett for value but realize you will probably never get full book value. May want check outlets that will do all the work and sell for you on Ebay, but will cut into your return. Also can check with a large sports collectable store in your area, but again will be less than full value, but a least you would unload them for something if that is what you are after.

How to make trading cards holographic?
I want to know how to make trading cards (like yugioh or magic the gathering cards) holographic.
I would also like to know what kind of pens to use to color in cards, and if there is some way I can use a white (but enough to where lines show) background in order to be able to color in cards better.
Thanks.
How to make trading cards holographic?
Making a card holographic requires a great deal of money and sophisticated machinery. The foiling is added during the card making process and simply can't be replicated by hand. I guess you could use pens with metallic ink to mimic foiling but it wouldn't have the polish of real foiling.

*E-bay
*Coin shop (usually they sell cards)- Probably most reputable
*Comic book stores (sometimes also sell cards)
Look in the library and online to find books that can tell you how much each card is worth. If you think you have some very rare cards, you could find an appraiser to tell you how much they believe they are worth.
Try this site: http://www.tradingcardcentral.com/
