I have many different trading cards from my childhood, how do I find their worth?

There are baseball, football, star wars, elvis etc... I cant find a good source to get values on these items.

The sports cards: Go to a hobby shop and buy Beckett magazines for the specific sport. They also have a site online, but I haven't found it to be as helpful as their store-bought pricing guide magazines.





Other collectibles: Best I can tell you is to do a search on eBay and see if anyone else is selling them and what they're going for.

Several ways. You should check them out with a guidebook to see if they are of value, or show them to a dealer you can trust. If you have some especially valuable you need to get them professionally certified. Then, obviously, you sell them. Best way is on eBay.

Best to hold onto them... you might get lucky and get a few buyers but those type of collectibles are meant to be held onto for a loooooong time, and it's only been roughly 15 years. Lock them up in a box in the attic until you are old and gray... at the very least you'll have something to share with your grandkids before supplementing your retirement income with them! :)

Although a nice thought, they would not like them. Unless they are cut off from current society.

I personally think its a great idea... but kids just wont react to it. My suggeston is that you try something a little more... kidlike. Like maby a Christian tradeing card game. Just an idea.
Reply:Thats very good. If kids enjoy them in class, why would they not enjoy them in church? As long as the questions and the cards are interesting, I don't see why they shouldn't like it.
Reply:I think that would be an awesome idea. Veggie Tales and Bibleman are watched by the kids at our church so that could be there new thing especially like for my kids who go to a christian school.

Your best bet would be to check for local sports card dealers...there are probably many in and around Nashville. They're often listed in the yellow pages under "sports cards" or "baseball cards."
Reply:Also if you look on ebay there's alot of dealers on there. They will have there addresses and numbers. I'm sure it won't be to difficult.
